9. Click OK to close the dialog box informing you that the restore point was
created
successfully.
10. Click OK to close the System Properties dialog box.
11. Close the System Restore wizard.
12. Open the Control Panel. If the Control Panel does not display the
Classic View, click
Classic View.
13. Double-click Programs And Features.
14. Click Turn Windows Features On Or Off.
15. Click Continue in the User Account Control dialog box.
16. Select the Telnet Server and TFTP Client check boxes. Click OK.
17. Windows Vista installs these features.
18. After the features are installed, close the Programs And Features dialog
box.
Practice 2: Reverting to a System Restore Point
In this practice, you will use the restore point created in Practice 1 to
restore the components
that you installed after you created the restore point. Although it is
possible to perform a sys-
tem restore from within Windows Vista itself by opening the System Restore
item, this practice
will simulate a Windows Vista problem that prevents the computer from
booting up fully. In
this case, it is possible to perform a system restore from the Windows Vista
installation media.
1. Insert the Windows Vista installation media into the DVD-ROM drive.
2. Restart the computer. At the Press Any Key To Boot From CD Or DVD prompt,
press the
spacebar. This will boot the Windows Vista installation media.
3. On the Windows Vista Language Preferences page, click Next.
4. On the Install Windows page, click Repair Your Computer.
5. On the System Recovery Options page, shown in Figure 2-19, ensure that
the Windows
Vista installation is selected, and click Next.
