8. Switch user to Don_Hall. Attempt to change system time and to run an
application file.
UAC now prompts you to Continue or Cancel.
9. Switch user to parent_admin.
10. Restore the User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode For The Built-In
Administra-
tor Account to its default setting (Disabled).
11. In the Local Security Policy console, double-click User Account Control:

12. From the drop-down list, select Elevate Without Prompting, as shown in
Figure 5-15.

13. Attempt to run an application file. You are now able to do this without
receiving a UAC
prompt and clicking Continue. The parent_admin account is automatically
granted ele-
vated credentials without a UAC warning.
14. Switch user to a standard user—for example, parent_standard.
15. Attempt to run an application file. In this instance there is no change
to the user experi-
ence. A standard user needs to specify an administrator account and supply
the pass-
word for that account.
16. Switch user to parent_admin.
17. In the Local Security Policy tool, double-click User Account Control:

18. From the drop-down list, select Prompt For Credentials, as shown in
Figure 5-16.
Click OK.
