Installing Windows Vista Client
■
Locate the device for which you want to update the driver.
■
Right-click the device, and select Update Driver Software.
■
Click Search Automatically For Updated Driver Software. This makes Windows
search
your computer, including the CD or DVD-ROM drive and the Windows Update
website,
for updated drivers. If Windows locates an updated driver, it automatically
installs it, as
shown in Figure 1-19.

New drivers appear as optional updates in Windows Update. You can initiate
Windows
Update by opening the Start menu, clicking All Programs, and then clicking
Windows Update.
After Windows Update has opened, click Check For Updates.
To determine which drivers are available, click View Available Updates. This
opens the View
Available Updates window shown in Figure 1-20. Select the check box next to
the update you
want to install, and then click Install.
